Growing Your Wings

Pen on paper - 2023

I drew this piece while in an English class, I based it off the poem Grow Wings by Ashley Ormon. The poem discusses wanting to grow wings to fly away from the troubles and darkness and slip into the light of day.

Blissful Ignorance

Pencil on paper - 2024

This sketch depicts a common room and a person sleeping - That room happening to be mine, and the person, my best friend. I'm an early riser, unlike them... so I had plenty time to sit back and draw while they slept, and that's how this piece came to be.

Enclosures

Pen on paper - 2023

I was messing around with shapes and the idea of bottles and glass. I first came up with the candle within the lightbulb - a clever twist on the common functionality of each - from there I expanded into various little shapes and ideas.

"Somedays I feel like i'm trapped in a bottle. Unable to get out."

"I am a fish inside of a birdcage"

Sights From Above

Pen and pencil crayons on paper - 2023

This sketch was roughly based off of the idea of "Biblically accurate angels" and how they're often depicted as one large eye or a cluster of multiple.

The Beating of our Hearts

Pen, pencil crayons and marker on paper - 2024

I was watching a ton of medical shows at the time and got super into drawing anatomy so I decided to dip a toe into drawing internal organs.

Chaos and Abandonment

Pen on paper - 2024

My friends and I are what one would call Urban Explorers. We love to head out and explore abandoned buildings wherever we go. I saw this building on the outskirts of Edmonton and I got curious. I went in to check it out, it was some kind of old repair shop from the looks of it. I managed to sneak a few good shots of it and I took it home with me to draw it... and yes that is tea stains on the page, my apologies.

Female Anatomy

Pencil on paper - 2024

I'm a firm believer that all bodies are beautiful and I wanted to do a little anatomy practice focused on the curves of a woman's body.

Plus - its was a good chance for me to come up with new tattoo designs and placements.
